agencies, businesses, and private foundations partner with the Research Foundation
to engage San José State University faculty in sponsored research
programs, public service and community projects, consulting, and other
specialized educational activities. |

| A 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, the SJSU
Research Foundation provides a more flexible, entrepreneurial framework through
which the campus carries out specialized instructional and service
activities not normally provided for by the state budget, while also
eliminating undue governmental, budgetary, procurement, and other
state fiscal restrictions. |
